Why can't I start tablet form factor Android devices in the emulator? -


last time used emulator tablet sized devices month or 2 ago , fine then. however, can't launch tablets. tablet window pops up, stays blank. no boot screen or anything. i've been googling around , have rebooted multiple times, no luck. no error messages. phone sized devices work fine (on multiple api levels). else have problem , solve it?

for whatever reason, in older version of avd, tablet devices refuse start if set x86. switching arm allows them start.

of related note, on latest android studio, no devices of type x86 start me, same devices in arm work fine. wondering if perhaps google has made sort of emulation change?
