image processing - How to design and implement an adaptive filter for impulse noise removal? -


i should design , implement adaptive filter remove impulse noise medical images! , new in image processing . , don't know how design filter! have checked predefined filters... not want! please b.s. project!

impulse noise dealt using median filter.
build adaptive filter i'd use statistics figure if there smooth within window.

i work on image using windows.
in each window i'd check median , mean.
if far away each other i'd apply median filter, otherwise, apply local lpf filter of nothing.

it simple...
