sql - Stop subscription when an error occurs -


in sql server 2000, if error occurs, subscription stops , receive e-mail log error. but, sql server 2008, subscription still running after error , don't receive e-mail.

there's way stop in sql server 2000?

since sql server 2005 replication desgined keep retrying until number of failures overcome transient errors.

your best way "fix" behavior locate job in job folder, right click on it, go steps, double click on run agent, , go advanced tab. change retry attemps 2147483647 0.

accept defaults , restart agent.

you can access job locating publication in replication monitor, locate subscription in right hand pane, select view details, , select action , distribution agent properties.
