How to regenerate missing WordPress thumbnails? -


this problem on site.

suddenly 5000 thumbnails disappeared server. files not there. of them 1 of 2 sizes: either 0x550 or 550x0. i've tried regenerating them available plugins (ajax thumbnail rebuild, etc). 3000 created right size.

that leaves me 2k images missing. here's thing.

if edit post contains embeded image, , click "edit" button on image -which doesn't show error square takes place-, when lightbox shows up, image re-created @ right size.

so, since plugins failed option recreate each image editing on post itself.

i have urls of missing images 404 error checking plugin.

so can take urls , extract original image name , width/height there. how can manually create thumbnail file using information?
