google play - Change Package Name of a a Published Android App -


i purchased published android app, part of ownership transfer app unpublished. ready re-publish app, still have package name of original developer. should or can change package name mine , how?

i don't think can change package name link product. if want change, need create new product within play store admin page. but, doing so, lose previous download activity.

once publish application under manifest package name, unique identity of application forever more. switching different name results in entirely new application, 1 can’t installed update existing application.
