How can I allocate more stack space to hardware drivers in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit? -

first of all, not writing hardware driver. malloc won't me here. :( means none of advice here applies.

i have laptop running win7 ultimate, 64bit. laptop has unpowered usb hub in it. attached powered usb hub that. attached serial-to-usb converter powered hub. convert has multiple ports, acts sort of hub. attach printer 1 of serial ports. when try connect printer code, bsod... not having enough stack space in kernel hardware drivers. can't find way allocate more stack space in windows 7. (prior versions used config.sys.) , don't have other options plug stuff in. can do?

my code works if go straight powered usb port usb-to-serial converter. that's fine on desktop computer laptop doesn't have powered usb port.

i've learned friend on facebook 24k stack size kernel absolute , immutable. :( i'm exploring hardware alternatives. i've been told ftdi makes better chipset prolific windows 7, if anyone's interested.
